Poker Tracker guide
Understand this before we start: Poker Tracker is awesome, but hard to
understand! It is not intuitive and I don't think it could be made easier
but still as powerful. So, get ready for some serious work, it's worth it!
What is Poker Tracker?
Poker Tracker is a software that will compile all of your hands into a
database and provide you with the necessary tools to analyse your results.
That's right, every single one of your hands in a database on your personal
computer! You will be able to see much more details about your results
than you could imagine.
The first step, importing hands
The first thing you want to do is to import your hands into Poker Tracker.
First, find out where your hand history files are (click here if you can't find
it). Then, open Poker tracker, look at all those little icons on the top
and find the poker room where you played. For example, click here for Sun
Poker (Sun Poker is part of the Cryptologic Network) :

Once you clicked this button, it will bring you the import window:

The first time you see this window, click on the "Hand history Folder
Location..." and set the folder or your hand history files are (it will
often point to the right folder). Once the folder is set, click on
"Force Import". At this point, it should import your
hands. This might take a while, especially if your computer is slow or if
you have a few thousand hands. This tutorial does not cover the "tournament"
part of poker tracker, but if you understand the ring game part, you will also
understand the tournament section. Make sure you have played some hands in
ring games and imported them before continuing.
After you imported the hands, close that window and open the ring game player
statistics by clicking here:

Get ready because now it get's interesting!
